The GROW Centre is our Distributed Learning Centre umbrella for several different programs: Adult Continuing Education, Skyline Alternate Programs (Grades 8-12), Distance Education (Grades K-10) and Cross-Enrolled courses (Grades 10-12).

Minitstry of Education Policy Statement
Alternate education programs focus on educational, social and emotional issues for students whose needs are not being met in a traditional school program. An alternate education program provides its support through differentiated instruction, specialized program delivery and enhanced counselling services based on students’ needs.

     

Our Dedication to Our Students' Sense of Belonging
At GROW and Skyline Alternate School our students are provided with many learning environments.
This enables students to feel their own sense of belonging which they are able to take with them
into other learning or working environments. We offer students a feeling of acceptance with our
numerous means in our school environment. For example: giving students space, equality for all,
first name basis with staff and students, breakfast, snack and lunch program are just a few of the
many ways we are assisting our students to be sucessful in every aspect of their lives.
