Distance Education Overview

Distance Education is a program for students in grades K to 10 whose caregivers teach them at home. This could be because of chronic illness, injury, family transition, educational choice, classroom incompatibility, or of course distance to bussing or the nearest school.

The program is administered through GROW at 320 North 2nd Ave, Williams Lake, B.C.

Students in grades 8 to 10 are encouraged to participate in the Rural Secondary program.

Students in Grades K-7 have a support teacher who helps them access resources, provides advice, and assesses growth throughout the year.
Teachers make biweekly meetings with the family as well as organize the Shared Classroom and other group activities.

If you have further questions, please contact one of our teachers listed under the staff tab.
